Harold Owen
Harold is a consistent volunteer in various Town and community benefits.  We especially thank him for raising funds for the police safety trailer.

2005 - Lake Placid Administrative                     Assistant of the Year 

Gloria Pettis
Gloria has served about 23 years with the police department.  She is instrumental in managing the department's information systems, including the local business newsletters and NIIC/FCIC systems.   She was chosen by the Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce as runner up for 2004.

2006 - FBI National Academy Graduate

Captain John Honeywell

Captain Honeywell graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. 

John also received the Yellow Brick award for completing a 6 mile obstacle course.

Rachel Osborne
Rachel has been employed with the Town for almost three years, as the accountant for the utility department. She is described as a self -motivator and a doer.  She takes it upon herself to achieve excellence and perfection. 

2007 - Town of Lake Placid Employee of the Year 

Jackie Haynes
Jackie has been employed with the Town since  May of 2001, as the Town's Billing Clerk  for the Utility Department.   And over the years, Jackie has  proven herself as an employee who wears many hats.  The Recognition of being the Town of Lake Placid Employee of the year is well deserved.

Ms. Haynes was honored as the Lake Placid "Officer of the Year" at a reception hosted by the Lake Placid Elk's Lodge.

2007 - Town of Lake Placid Police Officer of the Year 

Eddie San Miguel
Eddie has been employed with the Town  since  September of 2004, as a Lake Placid Police Officer.   San Miguel whose easy going personality and sense of humor brings a laugh to the the dreariest of days. When asked to do a policing detail Eddie is quick to not only accomplish the detail, he assumes the passion for accomplishing any detail associated with his police duities.

Mr. San Miguel was honored as the Lake Placid "Officer of the Year" at a reception hosted by the Lake Placid Elk's Lodge.

2007 - Lake Placid Administrative                     Assistant of the Year, 2nd Runner Up

Sofia Blakey
Sofia has been employed with the Town  since  July of 2002, as the Evidence & Records Custodian for the Lake Placid Police Department.  Mrs. Blakey is described as an individual with a sense of humor which lights up the Lake Placid Department. Her attribute is certainly a benefit in an environment where she is dealing with potential hazardous evidence.

Mrs. Blakey was honored by the Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce,  Sponsored by Home & Office Essentials.

2007 Graduation from Leadership Highlands

Gary V. Freeman                                   Mr. Freeman has been employed with the Town  of Lake Placid since  2003, as the Utility Director, for the Water and Sewer Department.

Mr. Freeman was presented an award at his graduation from Leadership Highlands.
