EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLE

IT TECH FLEXIBLE ARRANGEMENT

The Town is seeking an IT Tech flexible arrangement.     The Town of Lake Placid has networked systems which included about 15 computers accessing a server. email, and remote data.   In addition, our police department requires a secure individual who agrees to take a short Florida Department of Law Enforcement Security course and pass a criminal background in order to maintain the department's secure systems.  The police department systems uses mobile laptops in addition to desktops.

In addition, the town requires a priority response to our government systems.

The town's average annual IT labor costs have averaged around $15,000.  

The town is seeking to negotiate one of the following situations, or other arrangements with the right qualified individual -  1) contract services, 2) hire a full-time employee at a negotiated salary that will be qualified to do IT work as needed and work as a front desk attendant answering calls and helping first line customers, 3) share a full-time employee with another government entity that agrees to pay part of the employee's salary.

Employees are granted full benefits as described below.

The Town also pays 100% of employee health insurance, currently with Blue Cross Blue Shield.   The town pays 97% of FRS state Retirement  with employees able to retire depending on Florida Retirement System rules, currently a a 10 year lock in. 

Ten paid holidays per year.   If employee work holidays they are paid double.  

Life Insurance $25,000

Sick leave accumulation at 1 day per month.    Vacation accumulation at 2 weeks per year with longtivity increases.
