OTHER QUESTIONS RELATED TO CART ROLLOUT
1.How the public can get rid of old cans.
They can place unwanted trash cans beside the road with either a note
saying dispose of trash can or simply mark the can with an X.
2. Some businesses got carts, some didn't. Need policy on who got what,
and why, or how those who didn't get a cart can apply.
A new batch of carts was ordered and is intended to supply more
customers.
3. What to do with small amounts of debris like leaves that would fit in a
plastic bag. Can they be bagged and recognized as debris for purposes of
pickups or can they be put into town cart?
Small amounts of leaves/ debris can be placed into town trash
containers as long as there is enough room for household trash. The trash
containers lid must be closed. Large amounts of leaves/debris will be
picked up with the towns brush truck as long as it is clean leaves/brush
debris, meaning the the debris have to be free of trash. They can not be in
plastic bags, or in any container of any kind. The leaves/brush debris
that are in plastic bags and not clean will be picked up with the towns
mixed bulk truck.
Any extremely large items like household furniture or any bulk like
materials will be picked up with the towns bulk truck.
