HEARING NO. LPBOA.25.002
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the Town of Lake Placid Board of Adjustment (BOA) on the 2nd day of June 2025, beginning at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Town Hall Municipal Building, 1069 US 27 N, Lake Placid, Florida 33852, on Hearing No. LPBOA.25.002. Consideration will be given to a special exception to allow a tent or temporary building, not to exceed three (3) months in any eighteen-month period, for seasonal retail sales of sparklers/fireworks in the C-1, Highway Commercial District. The property is located on the east side of US Hwy 27 between Tower Street and CR 621 at 70 Plaza Ave, Lake Placid, Florida; Property ID No. P-31-36-30-A00-0322-0000.
A copy of this notice and of the proposed ordinances are available for inspection by the public at the Town of Lake Placid Office of the Clerk, at the Town Hall Municipal Building, 1069 US 27, Lake Placid, Florida 33852, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Inquiries should be directed to Dana Riddell, Town Planner, at this address or by phone at (863) 699-3747. Please reference the Hearing Number when calling or writing.
ALL INTERESTED PERSONS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS MAY APPEAR AND BE HEARD AT THE TIME AND PLACE SPECIFIED ABOVE. ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THIS COMMITTEE/GROUP, IN PUBLIC HEARING OR MEETING IS HEREBY ADVISED THAT HE OR SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND THAT, FOR SUCH PURPOSE, HE OR SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD WILL INCLUDE THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH SUCH APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
