The smooth functioning of the town's financial affairs is largely dependent on the efficient operations of the Finance Department. It is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are carried out in a transparent and accountable manner, in close collaboration with other town departments. The Department plays a critical role in safeguarding the town's financial resources by putting in place robust policies, procedures, and control measures with the approval of the Town Council. In addition to this, it also works with the Town Administrator and Department heads in the annual budget planning and devises a long-term capital improvement program for the town. With a keen eye for detail, the Department closely monitors and tracks all financial activities and reports its findings with great precision and accuracy.
